Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical training
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Must comply with state and federal certification or licensing standards
- Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
- Proficiency in general maintenance, especially in surface preparation and painting
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and pneumatic/electronic systems
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing various equipment, plumbing, and electrical items
- Valid Drivers License
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and maintenance issues with minimal supervision
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
- Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for all equipment and buildings
- Maintain and manage the maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts as necessary
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts effectively
- Execute repairs on plumbing, electrical, and general building management tasks
- Program TVs and assist with housekeeping and engineering duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting and perform minor repairs on drywall and wood trim
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout protocols prior to maintenance work
- Utilize engineering computer programs for preventive maintenance and energy management
- Train and mentor junior engineers
- Fulfill Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds
- Uphold all company safety and security policies, reporting hazards and maintenance issues
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and guests
- Perform lifting and moving tasks, adhering to safety standards
