First Grade Stationary Engineer

- Monitor and inspect boiler equipment, gauges, valves, switches, and safety devices - Maintain appropriate levels of water, chemicals, and fuel in boilers - Adjust combustion air supplies and control fuel flow - Ignite gas- or oil-fed boilers using automatic feeders or pumps - Test and document water quality, taking corrective measures as necessary - Install and conduct preventative maintenance on appliances and equipment - Keep daily logs for operations, maintenance, and safety activities - Report significant maintenance issues, accidents, or hazards to supervisors - Conduct regular inspections of the mechanical plant - Assist local authorities during emergencies and natural disasters - Adhere to company and safety policies, completing necessary safety training - Protect company assets and meet guests service expectations - Communicate professionally and build positive work relationships - Identify and suggest improvements for efficiency, productivity, and safety - Safely lift and move objects up to 75 pounds - Navigate confined or elevated spaces and perform physical tasks as needed - Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors
