Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, including both exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
- Valid Drivers License
- Basic knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation
- Basic computer skills for inputting schedules and temperature adjustments
Responsibilities
- Attend to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery
- Identify and operate all equipment shut-off valves and building utility shut-offs
- Maintain and requisition maintenance inventory and parts as needed
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved methods
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repairs, and light bulb replacements
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment and plumbing issues
- Program TVs and manage housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance tasks
- Execute repairs on landscaping and external systems
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and complete safety training and certifications
- Ensure a clean and professional appearance while maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets
- Engage positively with guests and anticipate their service needs
