Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance and surface preparation
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
- Drivers License is required
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn in areas such as air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and temperature adjustments
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
Responsibilities
- Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen equipment
- Visually inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and machines
- Carry necessary equipment for maintenance tasks
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for various utilities
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
- Execute surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Program televisions and assist with housekeeping-related inventory duties
- Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures for safety during maintenance
- Conduct repairs on landscaping and sprinklers
- Fill out necessary safety reports and maintain confidentiality
- Foster positive relationships with team members and guests
