Assistant engineering manager – software focus

- Assist the department head in overseeing budget management, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation initiatives. - Maintain the hotel property and equipment with a strong focus on safety, security, and asset protection. - Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance work orders to enhance guest experience. - Support the maintenance of grounds, guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities. - Develop and execute a long-term preventative maintenance and asset protection plan. - Manage scheduled maintenance, special projects, and coordinate bids, costs, and work scope for contractors. - Conduct property inspections to confirm excellent condition of buildings and grounds. - Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure guest satisfaction. - Monitor inventory of tools and supplies to maintain cleanliness initiatives across the property. - Engage with vendors concerning product and repair services. - Supervise engineering activities in the absence of the Director of Engineering. - Train, select, and appraise employee performance in line with operational standards.
