Assistant Engineering Director

- Assist the department head in managing budgets, capital expenditures, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation. - Oversee the daily operations of the Engineering department. - Plan, schedule, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs. - Establish priorities for overall property maintenance needs. - Manage the physical plant, including various systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. - Maintain optimal effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of equipment. - Distribute and supervise repair work orders. - Contribute to the upkeep of grounds, meeting areas, and recreational facilities. - Act as a technical liaison for all departments on the property. - Step in to supervise Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering. - Recommend or organize additional services like renovations and equipment replacement. - Select and procure new equipment, supplies, and furnishings. - Inspect and assess the physical state of facilities for needed repairs. - Effectively manage parts, supplies, and equipment inventories to minimize downtime. - Conduct inspections and evaluate compliance with standards and safety regulations. - Assist in implementing an energy conservation program. - Facilitate training for staff on safety and operational procedures. - Gather guest feedback to enhance service quality and atmosphere.
