Must:
I am looking for candidates with a strong background in 3PL or distribution settings, specifically those who have 5–7 years of experience in systems analysis, data management, or a similar mid-level technical role. You should possess substantial experience in a 3PL, warehousing, or distribution environment, with solid exposure to EDI, WMS, and system integrations (this includes BOL, Manifest, and UCC labeling). A comprehensive understanding of EDI transaction sets (940, 945, 856, 810, etc.) as well as data mapping is essential. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data validation, are required. I need someone with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will need to convey technical information to non-technical audiences. Additionally, strong organizational and time management skills are important for managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating across various departments, remain flexible and reliable, and maintain a strong work ethic, even if it means working overtime when necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as the primary communicator between Operations, IT, and Customer Service to guarantee system accuracy and performance for all integrations and warehouse management systems. You will be tasked with managing and sustaining all EDI transactions, including order processing, acknowledgments, ASNs, and invoicing, ensuring precise and timely transmission. I expect you to develop, test, and implement system enhancements, new integrations, and process improvements in collaboration with clients and software partners. Your analytical skills will be crucial in evaluating operational data and trends to identify inefficiencies, resolving data discrepancies, and providing actionable insights to management. You will also create, maintain, and distribute regular system and performance reports to support business decisions and client requirements. Collaborating with the Finance team on pricing validation, billing accuracy, and system-generated invoicing is an integral part of the job. Additionally, you will assist in onboarding new clients by setting up EDI connections, mapping workflows, and validating data integrity during testing and launch phases. You will troubleshoot system and data issues, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future problems. Training and documentation support for internal teams will be part of your responsibilities as well, ensuring proper system usage and adherence to data management standards. Furthermore, you will make sure that all data and system processes comply with company security, accuracy, and backup protocols. There might be occasions where you assist in maintaining network and server functionality, coordinating with the Network Administrator as necessary.
Description
This position is a full-time, on-site role located at our facility in Cranbury, NJ. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday during regular business hours; however, some extended hours and weekend work may be needed during peak seasons. Our busiest period occurs from the fall through the holiday season, which necessitates flexibility and full participation from our staff. The role may also involve occasional lifting, standing, or bending in a warehouse setting.
