Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 7 years of experience in software development, particularly in AI/ML, robotics, autonomous systems, or navigation.
- Proficient programming skills in C++.
- Knowledge of AI LLM training and deployment methodologies.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
- Experience in developing perception or navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
- Strong understanding of areas such as:
- Sensor fusion
- SLAM / localization / mapping
- Path planning / trajectory generation
- Computer vision
- Object tracking
- Reinforcement learning or behavior planning
- Experience with robotics middleware or autonomy frameworks like ROS / ROS2 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of message bus and micro-service architectures.
- Hands-on experience with real-world sensor data, including LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, and IMU.
- Comfort with simulation tools and data analysis workflows.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments, Git, CI/CD, and current software engineering practices.
- Strong skills in debugging, problem-solving, and system integration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for autonomous navigation, encompassing localization, mapping, perception, path planning, obstacle avoidance, and decision-making logic.
- Construct and enhance AI/ML models for tasks such as object detection, classification, tracking, scene understanding, and behavior prediction.
- Develop and amalgamate sensor fusion solutions utilizing data from cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS, IMU, and other onboard sensors.
- Implement navigation and autonomy algorithms tailored for both structured and unstructured environments.
- Work in collaboration with systems, controls, and platform teams to integrate autonomy functions within the vehicle software framework.
- Develop software using C++ for real-time or near-real-time applications relating to autonomy.
- Establish simulation and testing pipelines for model training, algorithm validation, and systemic verification.
- Assist in field testing, troubleshoot performance issues, and refine autonomy behavior in response to test outcomes.
- Enhance software reliability, safety, performance, and maintainability through sound engineering methodologies.
- Participate in defining requirements, technical planning, conducting architecture reviews, and executing code reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and offer technical leadership in AI/ML and autonomy development.
- Facilitate the transition from prototype algorithms to production-ready systems.
