Requirements
Must:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 3-5+ years of experience in controls systems installation and support
- Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiar with industrial automation environments
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills for industrial electrical and control systems
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming, preferably Rockwell / Allen-Bradley
- Ability to read, create, and modify electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Skilled in using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters and loop calibrators
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, TIA Portal, and Rockwell software environments
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission PLC- and HMI-based automation systems at customer locations
- Support the startup and validation of custom-built control panels and automation equipment
- Diagnose and resolve intricate electrical, controls, and communication issues in live production settings
- Modify, enhance, and maintain PLC and HMI programs to boost performance, reliability, and usability
- Assist with data collection, system monitoring, and basic analytical tasks to improve process visibility
- Interpret and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and system documentation
- Design and adjust control circuits and hardware layouts to enhance system performance and maintainability
- Implement system upgrades, retrofits, and technological improvements as customer requirements change
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to customers and internal teams
- Train operators, maintenance teams, and junior engineers on system operations and troubleshooting
- Document alterations, lessons learned, and best practices for future projects
