Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Over 8 years of relevant design experience is desirable.
- Proven track record in progressive stamping die design.
- Proficiency in 3D design; familiarity with SolidWorks and Logopress is advantageous.
- Capability to develop complete strip layouts and station sequencing for quality tooling.
- Experience collaborating with toolmakers and production teams.
- Strong mechanical creativity and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen to meet ITAR regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for progressive stamping dies from initial concept to finalized details.
- Develop comprehensive layouts, forming stations, material flow, and die components.
- Create robust designs that fulfill stringent tolerance standards for manufacturability.
- Collaborate with toolmakers, machinists, and pressroom teams throughout build, trial, and troubleshooting phases.
- Provide early-stage design concepts and technical insights for quoting processes.
- Engage directly with clients to address technical inquiries and enhance customer relations.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to the development of future design standards.
- Participate in succession planning with potential for equity ownership.
