Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
- Over 3 years of experience in Controls Engineering within automated manufacturing
- In-depth understanding of GM Common Controls Standards (GCCS)
- Proven experience in supporting GM projects in stamping or other manufacturing sectors using GCCS
- Expertise in PLC platforms, particularly Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, program, and maintain PLC- and HMI-based control systems for stamping operations
- Implement and adhere to GM Common Controls Standards (GCCS) throughout all project phases
- Provide ongoing support for GM stamping press lines, including press controls, material handling, destackers, conveyors, and safety systems
- Engage in the development of controls architecture, I/O mapping, network design, and system documentation
- Commission and troubleshoot control systems during offline testing, installation, product launch, and ongoing production support
