Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of experience in high-performance engine building or as a certified dealership technician in automotive or motorcycle
- Strong knowledge of fuel injection systems; experience with hybrid/electric engines is highly desired
- Proficient in conducting precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other engine-building tools
- Skilled in data entry, maintaining tracking logs, and managing build documentation using PC and MS Office
- Capability to perform repetitive precision tasks with consistent quality, such as honing valve guides and grinding/polishing valve faces
Responsibilities
- Execute full engine rebuilds, including teardown, cleaning, inspection, precise measurement, sub-assembly, final fitting, and quality checks
- Monitor engine and parts mileage, document engine history, and evaluate the condition of components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine performance issues, recording findings and proposed corrective actions
- Create technical and summary reports; assist in maintaining engine build procedures for consistency and quality assurance
- Support shop operations including maintaining engine carts, inventorying tools and consumables, and keeping the washing and grinding areas clean
