Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in defense manufacturing, with at least 5 years specifically in Navy Submarine Building.
- Strong understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items and the federal acquisition process.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Marine Engineering.
- Expertise in CAD/CAM software and knowledge of tight-tolerance machining for rigid materials.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and negotiate prime contracts and subcontracts to guarantee adherence to FAR, DFARS, and NAVSEA standards.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for Government Contracting Officers and Prime Contractors on Statement of Work (SOW) details and scope.
- Proactively identify contractual risks early in the bidding phase and ensure quality, safety, and submarine material specifications are incorporated into project plans.
- Develop and execute effective shop floor procedures for CNC machining and intricate mechanical assembly to maintain quality and consistency.
- Lead a small team of engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
