Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in R&D for complex electromechanical systems
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline (Exceptional experience accepted with an Associates degree)
- Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices or aerospace
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with assembling and testing electromechanical systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, or LabVIEW
- Strong analytical skills to deconstruct complex issues and provide effective solutions
- Experience in cross-functional leadership and technical collaborations
- Strong project management capabilities including task estimation and work breakdown structures
- Experience in producing production-level documentation (BOMs, assembly instructions, maintenance guidelines)
- Familiarity with PLM systems, ECOs, DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis
- Preferred CAD proficiency (SolidWorks is a plus)
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight
Responsibilities
- Manage, update, and provide support for a range of robotic systems within formal design control frameworks
- Lead troubleshooting efforts at the system level for intricate electromechanical assemblies, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Implement configuration management to ensure comprehensive traceability for R&D and clinical endeavors
- Develop and execute testing methods, protocols, and documentation, releasing materials through ECO processes
- Assist in system builds, manage component inventories, and oversee procurement tasks
- Produce and enhance engineering and process documentation
- Propel enhancements in process, reliability, and overall system performance
- Lead or assist in detailed planning activities including BOMs, procurement, and future production
- Engage in design transfer and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives
