Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of 4G-LTE and 5G-NR air interfaces, including PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, and NAS layers.
- Knowledge of IEEE 802.11 protocols and TCP/IP networking.
- Practical experience with modem-level chipset tools such as Qualcomm QXDM/QCAT and Samsung ShannonDM, along with Wireshark.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities for complex network performance challenges, including mobility management and interference analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with deployment teams to evaluate device and service performance metrics, ensuring maximum connectivity efficiency.
- Develop software tools to analyze modem-level logs from chipsets like Qualcomm and Samsung, pinpointing the causes of throughput decreases and connection issues.
- Design automation solutions to streamline large-scale data processing and performance evaluations.
- Evaluate key performance indicators and propose system adjustments or architectural enhancements to improve service quality.
- Partner closely with system architecture and engineering teams to create and prototype connectivity solutions across 4G-LTE, 5G NR, WiFi, and GPS domains.
