Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience
- Significant hands-on experience in automation and controls engineering
- Proficiency in PLC programming and motion control systems
- Experience in building, wiring, debugging, and commissioning equipment
- Capability to work across mechanical, electrical, and software areas
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred:
- Experience in robotics or vision system integration
- Knowledge of electrical panel design and layout
- Familiarity with upgrading or modernizing legacy automation systems
- Background in precision manufacturing or regulated environments
- Real, hands-on controls ownership is more valuable than industry specifics.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute control systems for custom automation equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLC- and motion-controlled systems
- Create and wire electrical panels and machine connections
- Integrate robotics, motion systems, sensors, and safety features
- Construct, assemble, debug, and commission equipment in both the automation lab and on the production floor
- Update and modernize aging equipment, controls, and software
- Resolve complex automation issues in production settings
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams
- Provide mentoring and coaching to junior engineers as a senior technical resource.
