Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in IT QA testing.
- College Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.
- Proficient in integration and migration processes.
- Experienced in data mapping.
- Familiar with managing large and complex projects.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting bugs and documenting procedures.
- Data Lake experience is preferred.
- Experience with IT testing tools such as Jira, Qtest, Postman, is beneficial.
- Automation testing experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in the insurance sector is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate software applications and websites to ensure compliance with functional requirements, performance metrics, and user experience standards.
- Identify, document, and track defects through both manual and automated testing processes.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues to enhance product quality.
- Develop, create, and execute comprehensive test cases, plans, and scripts aligned with functional specifications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to detect bugs, malfunctions, and discrepancies.
- Document and keep track of identified issues in the testing system.
- Cooperate closely with the IT team to isolate, troubleshoot, and validate issues.
- Ensure software meets company quality benchmarks and user experience expectations.
- Perform different types of testing including functional, performance, compatibility, and regression testing.
- Generate detailed reports on testing progress, outcomes, and overall product quality.
Description
We are a busy insurance company located in Lombard, Illinois, seeking to hire 4 experienced IT QA Testers for a temporary (possibly temp to hire) hybrid role. This position offers a flexible start time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am and primarily allows for remote work, with occasional onsite requirements. We provide a company laptop for work-related tasks. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various software applications and contribute to enhancing product quality.
