Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering, with 12 years of experience in systems security engineering and software vulnerability assessment. Alternatively, 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree in the same fields.
- Five (5) years of experience using and tuning source code analysis tools, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses.
- Three (3) years of experience designing and testing Software Assurance (SwA) analysis processes.
- Three (3) years of experience interpreting, prioritizing, and using source code SwA tool results to remediate potential vulnerabilities in software.
- Three (3) years of experience in Python programming (or another scripting language).
- Five (5) years of experience preparing and presenting briefings and written reports on software assurance issues.
- Two (2) years of experience performing statistical analysis.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience programming in Java, C, C++, or C#.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team to analyze source code using automated Software Assurance (SwA) tools.
- Contribute to developing testing methodologies, formulate testing scores, and create test cases that support SwA tool analysis.
- Support testing of client software and interface with clients to define recommended remediation.
- Create reports and documentation.
- Use and tune source code analysis tools, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses and determining suitability for given software/customer environments.
- Design and test source code SwA analysis processes.
- Interpret, prioritize, and use source code SwA tool results to remediate potential vulnerabilities in software.
- Perform statistical analysis and reporting on multiple variables in a SwA environment.
- Write technical reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Survey the industry to identify new source code SwA tools and methodologies.
- Provide professional teaching and demonstrate experience in creating or presenting technical briefings.
