Requirements
Must:
- I have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience. I understand that a degree can be substituted by an additional 4 years of experience.
- I possess DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification.
- I will obtain a DoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., MCSA, VCP, or equivalent).
- I have knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, and VMware products.
- I am open to up to 10% travel.
- I have a willingness to occasionally work after normal duty hours (nights and weekends) to support system maintenance or service outages.
Responsibilities
- I will provide Tier III IT Systems support on a wide range of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Blade Servers, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies, and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- I have experience with Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 Servers, Microsoft Windows 10, administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and workstation and server hardware; and administering Microsoft Office 2010/2016, DNS, Group Policy, and PKI.
- I am skilled in administering vSphere, Horizon View, data backup, antivirus software, and basic networking including DHCP/TCPIP. I have experience with deploying workstation images and working with thin and/or zero clients.
- I will diagnose and resolve the performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the mentioned platforms.
- I will write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks.
- I will participate in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests.
- I will perform requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms listed above.
- I will provide direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers.
- I will investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
- I will work on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer’s production IT environment.
- I will undertake other duties as assigned.
Description
I understand that a projected compensation range for this position is $102,700-$170,800. Factors impacting a final salary include Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies aligning with the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education, and certifications, along with Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
