Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's degree and over 20 years of programming experience or a High School Diploma with more than 24 years of programming experience.
- Proficiency in coding with Python and Java.
- Familiarity with build environments such as Gradle or Maven.
- Experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
- Knowledge of XML or JSON.
- Background in data ingestion, storage, and processing techniques.
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
Responsibilities
- I will be responsible for coding and development utilizing Python, Java, and Groovy.
- I will conduct data analytics on logs, images, and various other formats.
- I will manage databases and perform general troubleshooting, including tuning, optimization, managing deadlocks, keys, and normalization in any relational database engine, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- I will utilize streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) and customize data flows as needed.
- I will analyze logs and troubleshoot general issues, focusing on tuning, optimization, search and indexing operations, mapping, and monitoring.
- I will work with the Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Fluent, etc.) and Opensearch APIs.
- I will define systems and subsystems, conduct preliminary and detailed designs, implement designs, and integrate and test for systems.
- I will research product requirements, including the target environment, performance metrics, competitive elements, design new features, and suggest enhancements to existing capabilities.
- I will assess computer user requirements, evaluate system capabilities to address issues related to program intent, output needs, input data acquisition, and programming.
- I will ensure adherence to software standards, perform quality control on team outputs, and oversee software deployments for developed products.
- I will mentor junior software developers.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Software Version Control, familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, and specifically expertise in MongoDB and Elastic. - Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining complex code, as well as with version control systems like Subversion/GIT, is advantageous. - Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, and Crucible, or similar tools, is also preferred. - Experience using VMWare, preferably ESX, is a plus. - Clearance requirements specify that candidates must possess an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph. - Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time.
