Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor of Science degree and have at least 10 years of relevant experience. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years in the Department of Defense contracting sector, particularly in the development and acquisition of major weapon systems, is required. U.S. citizenship with a current/active Secret clearance is essential.
Responsibilities
As a Software Quality Assurance Tester, my role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
- I will compose and present monthly reports detailing testing procedures and results to support client-driven software development.
- I will troubleshoot software, create innovative solutions, and document the resolutions for knowledge sharing.
- I will implement test procedures for vendor applications, such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Aruba, ensuring they meet specifications before government witness testing.
- I will identify integration issues and vulnerabilities, report my findings, and offer recommendations for enhancements in future system designs.
- I will develop Master Test Plans, Software Test Plans, Test Descriptions, and Test Reports to comply with CMMI Level 3 standards.
- I will collaborate with the Software Development team to ensure that products align with customer needs and expectations.
- I will design and execute both manual and automated tests (white box, black box, gray box) to assess quality, speed, and functionality.
- I will convert manual test cases into automated cases using PowerShell and VBS.
Description
Preferred qualifications include relevant industry certifications such as Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) or International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification. Strong communication skills are important for effective collaboration with developers and stakeholders. Experience in gathering customer feedback and translating it into actionable recommendations is also valued. Physical requirements for this position state that I must be able to remain stationary for 50% of my time. I should also be able to occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with co-workers, management, and clients via email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve giving presentations.
