Requirements
Must:
I am looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience. A degree may be substituted with an additional 4 years of experience.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required.
- DoD 8570 Computing Environment Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire; MCSA, VCP, or an equivalent certification is acceptable.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 Servers, Microsoft Windows 10, administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, server hardware, DNS, Group Policy, PKI, vSphere, and antivirus software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, and VMware products.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as ServiceNow.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Responsibilities
As our Principal Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Providing Tier II IT systems support on a variety of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Horizon View, and Active Directory.
- Diagnosing and resolving performance, security, and technical challenges related to the listed platforms.
- Managing and enhancing the experience of VIP customers while addressing any issues or concerns they may have.
- Monitoring and analyzing VIP customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and training staff on service standards and best practices.
- Preparing and presenting reports on VIP service performance and ensuring compliance with program/customer policies.
- Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasks and participating in all phases of the ITIL service lifecycle.
- Performing requirements analysis, gathering, and integration for all platforms.
- Guiding less-experienced Systems Administrators and collaborating with engineering and technical personnel to resolve operational problems.
Description
To be successful in this role, you must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS or TS/SCI clearance that has been adjudicated within the last 6 years. You should also be open to random polygraph tests. Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time, occasional movement within the office, and effective communication with co-workers, management, and customers. You will need to exchange accurate information during these interactions and may be required to deliver presentations.
