Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree or have 4+ years of additional cyber engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- I have experience with Node.js or Python, Linux scripting, Bash, Git, Gitlab, and/or CI/CD Pipeline.
- I am familiar with integrating data protection/encrypt-decrypt capabilities to support data confidentiality and integrity requirements.
- I have experience with setting up and supporting various IDEs necessary for my work tasks.
- I have experience with installation and administration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications on RHEL and/or CentOS Linux.
- I have designed and developed Elastic Beats and/or Logstash configurations to enable data collection from audit generation systems such as application databases, files, or syslog streams.
- I possess an IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) or I can obtain one within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- I will engineer, design, and maintain cybersecurity-relevant features and capabilities using Windows and cloud vendor capabilities, services, platforms, and third-party vendor cloud products to align with and support the NIST cybersecurity framework.
- I will integrate security solutions with existing on-premises operational cybersecurity platforms.
- I will work to automate cybersecurity-related workflows.
- I will develop solution patterns with cloud-managed resources and features.
- I will implement automated solutions related to Security-Orchestration-Automation-and-Response (SOAR).
- I will provide data analytics support and data science subject matter expertise for specialized cybersecurity applications and big data analytical systems.
- I will provide input and assist with architecture design and documentation.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include experience in automation and serverless solution architecture development in Azure and/or Oracle Cloud, familiarity with streaming data tools and software such as Apache or Confluent Kafka, and knowledge in Data Integration, Data Engineering, and Data Lake implementations using ETL, Big Data, and Cloud Technology. Additionally, experience with JIRA Confluence, Docker, and Kubernetes is valued, along with the ability to establish and implement a Data Governance Workflow focusing on metadata, data sources, data quality, policies, and procedures. - I must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph. - The physical requirements of this position include the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with co-workers, management, and customers through email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
