Requirements

Must:
- I require a Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of additional software development experience in lieu of a degree. - I expect a minimum of 7 years of software development experience. - You should be proficient in backend Java development. - It’s essential that you have experience with at least one scripting language (such as Ruby, Python, Perl, Bash, or JavaScript). - Knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS/Debian) and its fundamentals is needed. - You must possess a current DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

Responsibilities

- You will design, develop, and maintain production backend applications for the ServiceNow platform using Java. - I need you to ship and run services in cloud environments, particularly focusing on AWS. - It will be your responsibility to compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems. - You should identify and implement best-practice solutions to address client requirements. - I expect you to perform operational support of custom development and third-party integrations. - You will conduct unit-testing and resolve code defects. - Assisting with technical design and documentation will also be part of your role.

Description

- Preferred qualifications include experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, familiarity with Microservice architecture and orchestration such as Kubernetes or ECS, and knowledge of Cryptography/PKI including SSL and TLS certificate management. - Understanding of secret/credential management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault), access control policies (RBAC), and ServiceNow would be beneficial. - Clearance requirements dictate that you must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph. - Additionally, the physical demands of the position entail the ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time and occasionally move about the office to access various resources and communicate with co-workers, management, and customers through multiple channels.
