Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited institution. Alternatively, an additional 5 years of engineering experience may replace the bachelor's degree requirement. You should have over 14 years of experience as a Database Administrator/Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Proficiency in the administration and engineering of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases is essential, along with experience using Oracle databases 12c, 19c, or newer. Additionally, you must hold an IAT II certification (DoD 8140), which is required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will manage the entire lifecycle of Oracle databases. This includes activities such as building, developing structure, decommissioning, monitoring, data migrations, configuration, maintaining software baselines, applying patches, and documenting processes. You will be responsible for developing both long-term and short-term requirements for database administration and design. Additionally, you will assist users in crafting their requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. Furthermore, you will support the analysis and evaluation of system enhancements, optimizations, development efforts, and maintenance tasks.
