Requirements
Must:
- I have over 7 years of practical experience with a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- I am proficient in deploying and managing Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Exadata, and Oracle Cloud VM instances.
- I possess expertise in Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager for infrastructure automation.
- I have a strong understanding of networking concepts such as VCNs, Load Balancers, VPN, and FastConnect.
- I possess experience with Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) and associated security policies.
- I have hands-on experience with Linux environments, scripting (Bash, Python), and CI/CD pipelines.
- I am knowledgeable about cloud monitoring tools like Oracle Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and secure structures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Automate cloud provisioning through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager.
- Manage Oracle Cloud databases (including Autonomous DB, Exadata, Oracle RAC) and storage solutions (like Object Storage and Block Volumes).
- Configure VCNs, subnets, load balancers, and security lists for cloud applications.
- Utilize OCI Monitoring, Logging, and Performance Hub to enhance cloud resources and resolve any performance issues.
- Develop backup, replication, and failover plans for crucial workloads.
- Keep track of resource efficiency and execute cost-saving measures to optimize OCI expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards (NIST 800-53) and apply best practices for IAM policies and access controls.
Description
I prefer candidates who have hands-on experience in working with and developing on OCI, ideally with a minimum of 2 years of consulting experience. Oracle Cloud Certifications (for example, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional) are also advantageous. Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI) and hybrid cloud solutions is preferred. A background in DevOps, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments on OCI or other cloud providers is a plus. Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Administration (DBA) and SQL performance tuning is also beneficial.
In terms of clearance, I require candidates to have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Additionally, physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time, occasional movement within the office to access materials, and regular communication with colleagues, management, and customers, including the delivery of presentations and exchanging accurate information.
