Must:
We require a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Alternatively, five years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. You should have at least fifteen years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Experience and ability to download software and upgrade Cisco switches and firewalls are essential, along with a strong background in Cisco FirePower Firewalls.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, I will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading networks, including routers and switches, while updating and configuring virus protection software and other programs to keep the networks secure. I will apply Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) fixes to switches and Software Test and Evaluation (STE) policies. I will also design and plan the network for Cisco NEXUS switches, as well as set up and maintain a Cisco network. Proficiency in configuring Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) for device administration on switches and expertise in network monitoring and management tools (such as Solarwinds) are also essential.
Description
Familiarity with Solarwinds, LatteART, and XACTA is preferred. A current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required. The physical requirements for this position include the ability to move, carry, and deliver workstations within the office, remaining in a stationary position 50% of the time, and effectively communicating with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations via email, phone, or virtual communication.
