Requirements
Must:
- I require a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as a System/Network Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline is essential. I will accept five (5) years of additional experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- I prefer candidates with a strong understanding of networking components.
- A current/active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is necessary.
Responsibilities
- I need you to perform planning, deployment, and quality assurance functions for system and network upgrade projects.
- You will develop high, mid, and lower-level diagrams and schematics to document the system and network infrastructure for planning, historical, and continuity purposes.
- I expect you to design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment essential for providing telecommunications services in a complex environment that includes various Cisco network equipment, such as Nexus and Catalyst models, as well as Integrated Service Routers.
- You will design networks utilizing switching technology, encompassing VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, trunking, and port aggregation in the WAN/LAN environment.
Description
- Physical requirements include bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, light work up to 20 lbs., reaching, repetitive motions, sedentary work, and walking. You must be able to handle stress and work under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office and using a PC, along with analytical or critical thinking, interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, listening skills, multi-tasking, oral and written communication skills, and organizational skills are all important for this position.
