Requirements

Must:
- I require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field along with 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering. Alternatively, I will consider candidates with a High School diploma and 11 years of cybersecurity engineering experience. - You should have a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with the LogRhythm SIEM platform. - You need to be experienced with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Information System Security. - I look for familiarity with DISA STIGs and Navy cybersecurity tools. - Knowledge of classified network environments, such as JWICS, is essential. - Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, or Bash, is required. - A CompTia Security+ certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of receiving an offer is mandatory.

Responsibilities

- I expect you to design, implement, and maintain the LogRhythm SIEM infrastructure that supports NCTE networks. - You will configure LogRhythm collectors, data processors, and deployment managers for naval environments. - It will be your task to create and fine-tune advanced correlation rules, AI Engine rules, and threat detection logic. - You should integrate LogRhythm with Navy-approved security tools such as ACAS, HBSS, and ESS. - You will perform threat hunting activities and conduct forensic analysis utilizing LogRhythm's analytics capabilities. - Your role involves providing cybersecurity compliance monitoring for both classified and unclassified naval networks. - I need you to verify the implementation of ACAS, oversee operations, and analyze scan results for immediate remediation. - You will monitor vulnerability management programs and evaluate the cybersecurity posture of training networks. - Leading the development and maintenance of RMF artifacts, including SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, and Security Assessment Reports, will be part of your responsibilities. - You will perform system security engineering for naval platforms, which includes designing secure architectures. - You should conduct vulnerability scanning, assessment, and mitigation using LogRhythm and other approved DoD tools. - Supporting cybersecurity inspections, audits, and authorization reviews for naval expeditionary programs is required. - You will develop automation scripts and workflows to enhance the efficiency of security operations. - Interpreting results from scanning tools such as Trellix will also be part of your responsibilities. - You will configure API integrations and custom connectors for various naval data sources. - I rely on you to liaison with divisions to ensure that engineered security solutions comply with DoD policies.

Description


Preferred qualifications include having certifications like LogRhythm Platform Administration (LRPA) and Security Analyst (LRSA), as well as CISSP, GCIH, GNFA, or similar security certifications. Proficiency in eMASS and RMF ATO/IATT processes is desired, along with prior experience of SIEM implementation in naval/DoD environments. An understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and naval threat intelligence is advantageous, as is having knowledge of naval expeditionary programs and NCTE architecture. In terms of clearance, an active TS/SCI clearance is required. Regarding physical requirements, you must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and consistently operate a computer and other office machinery, such as calculators, copy machines, and printers. Additionally, occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets and office machinery will be necessary.
