Requirements
Must:
- A High School Diploma along with over 5 years of pertinent IT systems experience
- Proficiency in systems administration, specifically in both Linux and Windows environments
- Possession of Security+ CE certification
- Certification in VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating Systems (OS)
Responsibilities
- I will provide both remote and onsite technical support and assistance to NCTE Range end-users, efficiently addressing IT-related concerns and questions in a professional manner
- I will diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems
- I will work with Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) in both Windows and Linux environments, with familiarity in Active Directory within Windows settings
- I will compose standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes
- I will possess a strong understanding of Linux networking, patching, and operating systems, especially Red Hat versions 6 through 9, as well as Linux filesystems and Logical Volume Management (LVM)
- I may need to travel up to 25% of the time
Description
I am looking for a motivated, career-focused, and customer-oriented Linux Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position. Preferred Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Clearance Requirements: - Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret security clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance Physical Requirements: - I must be able to stay in a stationary position 50% of the time - I will consistently operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer - I should be able to occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
