Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to have a minimum of 3 years of experience implementing NIST 800-53, Rev 4 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Additionally, you should have over 3 years of experience utilizing information security and assurance practices and principles. Proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments, alongside experience in virtualization or cloud environments, is essential. Familiarity with information security tools such as MS Active Directory, Splunk, ACAS/Nessus, McAfee, and AWS Security is also necessary. A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required.

Responsibilities

In your role as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you will review and assess the Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization body of evidence for classified information systems, which includes the System Security Plan (SSP), Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM), Continuous Monitoring Plan, Incident Response Plan, Access Control Plan, and Security Assessment Plan. You will also review new and existing systems for technical compliance with Information Assurance (IA) directives and the protection of data at all classification levels, including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Advising on in-depth security design reviews and conducting threat/risk assessments will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will provide inputs to various technical artifacts, including Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM), and Risk Assessment Reports (RARs). Conducting site visits and assessments to inspect IA plans and security control implementations, as well as supporting Incident Response Team (IRT) activities, may be required.
