Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- At least 2 years of relevant/direct experience within personnel security (PERSEC) supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF).
- Formal training and/or direct experience with SAP and SAPF security program administration.
- Practical working knowledge and application experience with the DoDM 5205.07 series.
- Knowledge of Air Force computer, personnel security, and facility directives (specifically JSIG and DCID documents).
- Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to submit to a polygraph.
Responsibilities
- I will indoctrinate new personnel and debrief them when access approvals are removed.
- I will serve as a key adviser to unit leadership on personnel security matters and/or SAP access requirements, qualifications, and restrictions.
- I will develop and maintain comprehensive security standard operating procedures outlining security policies and guidance for conducting classified activities within special access program facilities (SAPF) and sensitive compartmented information facilities.
- I will identify, report, and document security incidents in accordance with DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, the Intelligence Community Directives, and applicable service regulations and instructions for collateral requirements.
- I will provide overall SAP security administration and management, performing duties outlined in the DoDM 5205-series regulations.
- I will review system security plans and other documents related to unit security and administer all SAP Nomination Packages.
- I will maintain personnel security folders for all individuals.
- I will ensure that all facility and physical security accreditations are maintained for each assigned SAPF.
Description
The GSSO's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. Physical requirements include the ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time, occasionally moving around within the office to access file cabinets and equipment, and constantly operating a computer and other office machinery. Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers is required, which may involve delivering presentations and accurately exchanging information in these situations.
