Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science. You should have over 7 years of experience in analyzing datasets and developing advanced analytics. Additionally, you need over 7 years of proficiency in programming using data analysis tools like R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will entrust you with leading a team of data scientists across various analytic development projects. You will work closely with our customers and subject matter experts to establish analytic requirements and ensure they align with our mission objectives. Your guidance will be essential in prototyping and transitioning advanced analytics into operational settings. You will apply cutting-edge machine learning, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to large and intricate datasets. I expect you to delegate analytic tasks to team members and oversee their performance to achieve project goals.
Description
Preferred candidates should have demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within a data science context. Familiarity with transitioning analytic prototypes into secure production systems is also highly desirable. A solid understanding of emerging machine learning algorithms and their practical applications is advantageous. It is a requirement to hold an active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph to qualify for this position. Physically, you should be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time and frequently operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as calculators, copy machines, and printers. Additionally, you should have strong communication skills to engage effectively with coworkers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information in various situations.
