Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree or have 4+ years of additional experience in cybersecurity in lieu of a degree.
- I have at least 2+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field.
- I possess knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- I have experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technologies utilized in a Cybersecurity Operations Center setting.
- I am familiar with current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
- I have a solid understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- I hold a CSSP-IR certification (e.g. CEH, CySA+).
- I have an IAT Level II certification (such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security).
Responsibilities
- I will provide detection, identification, and reporting of potential cyber-attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse incidents.
- I will characterize and analyze network traffic and system data to uncover anomalous activities and possible threats to resources.
- I will correlate security events and incidents by utilizing information gathered from various sources within the organization.
- I will perform triage on cyber incidents, which includes determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; I’ll identify specific vulnerabilities and offer recommendations to facilitate swift remediation.
- I will track and document cyber incidents from the initial detection phase through to final resolution.
- I will analyze and assess damage to data/infrastructure as a result of cyber incidents.
- I will conduct trend analysis and reporting on cyber incidents.
- I understand that the hours involve 24x7 shift work (4/10 shift schedule; hours will vary based on location).
Description
- I would benefit from having experience with threat intelligence and vulnerability management. - I have an understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework. - I possess knowledge of cloud platforms and managing security challenges specific to the cloud. - I must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. - In this role, I need to be capable of remaining in a stationary position for about 50% of the time. I may occasionally need to move around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with colleagues, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communications, which can include delivering presentations.
