Requirements

Must:
- I have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer, supporting programs and contracts of comparable scope and complexity. - I possess a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related professional engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, I can substitute five (5) additional years of experience in System Engineering. - I hold an IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent), and I am willing to obtain it within 60 days from the start of the program. - I am proficient in administering Linux operating systems. - I have experience in managing Windows Server 2022, including Active Directory and networking. - I have demonstrated experience as a System Administrator or Cloud Engineer with practical knowledge of cloud environments.

Responsibilities

- I provide administration and support for Windows Server 2022 environments, including Active Directory, while managing Windows 10/11 client systems. - I design, deploy, and maintain robust cloud environments, primarily within AWS, and I also support existing on-premise server infrastructure. - I develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and configurations using SaltStack to enhance infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes. - I collaborate with development teams to ensure integration and operational stability of CI/CD pipelines, facilitating smooth and reliable software deployments. - I administer, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS cloud resources, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other core services. - I monitor system performance, availability, and security, responding to incidents and conducting root cause analysis. - I administer and troubleshoot various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) in both cloud and on-premise settings.

- Preferred qualifications include experience working in enterprise or government environments, familiarity with cloud security and compliance practices, and hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for infrastructure deployment, management, and troubleshooting. - I possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling me to work effectively within a team environment and proficiently administer and troubleshoot Linux distributions. - Clearance requirements include having a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph. - I must be capable of moving, carrying, and delivering workstations from the office to customer desks, remaining stationary for 50% of the time, and effectively communicating with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information in these situations.
