Requirements
Must:
We require a Bachelor’s Degree along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, or at least 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Familiarity with VMWare ESXi and/or VMWare NSX is essential. Additionally, possession of a Security+ certification is a must.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will develop and implement strategies for new technologies aimed at strengthening our security capabilities, which include perimeter security measures, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, monitoring tools, and data analytics. I will also support the implementation, diagnosis, and maintenance of IT systems, providing Tier 1 problem identification, issue diagnosis, and solutions. Furthermore, I will manage daily system operations involving maintenance, monitoring, and resolving issues while optimizing system performance and resource utilization, along with conducting system capacity analysis and planning.
Description
Preferred qualifications include experience with Subversion/GIT and familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, Crucible, or similar platforms. Proficiency in MS Office is desirable, along with the ability to perform well in high-pressure situations. I value strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with robust analytical and critical thinking abilities for effective problem-solving. Moreover, I need candidates to hold an active and current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Finally, candidates must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
