Must:
We are seeking a candidate who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution. Alternatively, an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree. Additionally, a minimum of seven years in software development is necessary, along with proficiency in Python.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with analyzing user specifications to derive software design and performance requirements. You will design and code new software or modify existing systems, as well as debug and correct any software defects. Your responsibilities will also include designing and developing new backend components or enhancing current software using top-tier tools and languages. You will create simple data queries for existing or proposed databases and design or implement intricate database interfaces and queries. You will make suggestions to enhance documentation and software development processes, and you should be skilled in developing or executing algorithms that achieve or surpass system performance and functionality standards. In addition, you will design or implement complex algorithms that require strict adherence to timing, resource management, or interface parameters. Collaborating with system and hardware engineers will be essential to gather software requirements and understand project constraints, capabilities, performance needs, and interfaces.
Description
We prefer candidates with experience in developing applications intended for deployment in containers utilizing Docker and Kubernetes. A current and active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for this position. Moreover, you must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity equipment such as calculators, copiers, and printers. This position often involves communication with co-workers, management, and clients, which may include delivering presentations.
