Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles with a solid grasp of troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows (and Windows Server), macOS, and Linux, as well as mobile device management.
- Understanding of computer networking principles such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPN setup, firewall management, and best practices for network security.
- Practical experience with Active Directory management, Group Policy Objects (GPO), SCCM deployment techniques, and incident tracking tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
- Strong analytical abilities to quickly and accurately diagnose complex issues while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Capable of clearly conveying technical information to non-technical users with patience and professionalism.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco CCNA are advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and professional technical assistance to end-users through phone, email, and remote support tools, ensuring efficient issue resolution.
- Identify and troubleshoot software challenges related to operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and applications like the Microsoft Office suite.
- Oversee computer hardware management, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to ensure optimal functionality.
- Aid in networking tasks, including VPN configurations, firewall setups, LAN management, DNS configurations, TCP/IP protocols, and maintaining secure connectivity.
- Assist with desktop support responsibilities, such as user account management using Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and BMC Remedy for incident tracking.
- Sustain and refresh IT infrastructure documentation using ServiceNow or Jira for effective ticketing and issue tracking.
- Collaborate with team members on projects related to network management, operating system rollouts, and security improvements, including Meraki or firewall settings.
- Communicate effectively with users to gain a comprehensive understanding of their issues and provide clear guidance on troubleshooting steps or escalation procedures.
