Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching
- Proficiency with enterprise storage technologies such as NetApp, Dell EMC, or HPE
- Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions like Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas
- Experience in network provisioning, capacity planning, and monitoring tools
- Scripting or automation skills (preferred languages: PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft (MCSA), CompTIA Server+, Cisco (CCNA), VMware, or similar technical credentials
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain both physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
- Perform routine system updates, security patching, and optimize performance
- Automate server deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using scripts or tools
- Administer and enhance storage environments, including SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage
- Track and analyze storage capacity, performance, and usage trends
- Establish and uphold storage replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery readiness
- Develop, implement, and verify enterprise-level backup and recovery strategies
- Conduct regular backup testing to ensure data integrity and recoverability
- Maintain thorough documentation for disaster recovery and continuity planning
- Configure and support LAN/WAN networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Manage network provisioning, capacity management, and performance monitoring
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and keep current documentation on network circuits and configurations
Description
We are looking for a talented Server & Network Administrator to oversee, optimize, and secure our enterprise-grade systems and networks in Dallas, TX. This position will require you to work onsite three days a week for a duration of 12 months. You will be a vital part of our team, managing various technological functions such as server administration, backup operations, and network infrastructure support within a hybrid environment.
