Senior Engineering Manager - Software

- Steer and engage in daily code reviews across both frontend and backend repositories to uphold engineering standards and architectural integrity. - Troubleshoot and resolve build failures, test regressions, and deployment challenges within CI/CD pipelines. - Assess pull requests for their performance impact, coverage in testing, and code maintainability. - Collaborate with engineers to update and modularize legacy code as part of product architectural enhancements. - Manage sprint execution, upkeep of the backlog, and delivery speed within distributed engineering teams across various global regions. - Coordinate across different time zones to ensure smooth transitions, shared responsibilities, and consistent delivery methodologies. - Standardize engineering rituals such as standups and retrospectives, promoting agile practices throughout teams. - Lead defect tracking, classification, and task assignment within the development team. - Cultivate a culture of precision engineering and ongoing enhancement. - Define and monitor key performance indicators such as PR throughput, test coverage rates, bug resolution times, and team productivity metrics. - Collaborate with QA to ensure alignment of test plans and automation with delivery objectives. - Work alongside Data Science and Product teams to confirm technical feasibility and readiness for new feature rollouts. - Coordination with DevOps to sustain build integrity, reliable deployments, and observability benchmarks. - Act as the primary point of escalation for blockers, delivery risks, and alignment issues across teams. - Champion the integration of AI-enhanced development processes across engineering teams. - Provide insightful data-driven feedback to engineering leadership on delivery metrics and team efficiency. - Mentor team leaders and senior engineers on best practices for architecture and optimization of performance. - Identify and support underperforming team members with improvement plans or transitions.
