Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- 5-8+ years of experience in IT, focusing on security and compliance
- Proficient in threat detection and incident response
- Strong analytical skills in complex security data analysis
- Knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures
- Familiarity with intrusion detection and internet architecture
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to stay informed about emerging threats and technologies
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex security procedures to safeguard information systems
- Ensure compliance with necessary security processes among technical staff
- Monitor and track progress on Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
- Collaborate with external teams during audits for regulatory compliance
- Contribute to the formulation of security policies
- Serve as a Threat Analyst in incident response scenarios
- Assist in developing and managing response and recovery plans
- Review and approve user access change requests
- Educate management on balancing business needs with data security
- Help users navigate the training system
- Maintain user accounts and conduct regular training in the system
- Perform complex IT data and security forensic investigations
- Implement changes and audits for physical access controls
- Operate and manage security camera systems
Description
We are the Department of Revenue, the key agency for tax revenue collection in Mississippi that supports both state and local governments. This full-time position is located on-site in Clinton, Mississippi, from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. We offer a competitive salary between $65,000 and $80,000 annually along with benefits such as dental and health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, and employee discounts.
