Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Over 6 years of experience in supporting enterprise network infrastructures
- Robust practical experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, VLANs)
- Familiarity with firewall systems and network security technologies
- Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network architectures, incorporating LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud environments
- Spearhead network modernization projects and lifecycle management processes (such as refreshes, upgrades, migrations)
- Assess emerging networking technologies and suggest enhancements that align with organizational objectives
- Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks or hardware failures proactively
- Configure firewalls, manage VPNs, and protect the network against external threats
- Develop and test disaster recovery protocols to ensure system resilience
- Maintain high service availability, performance, and scalability for network services
- Diagnose complex network problems spanning routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Establish and supervise network monitoring, alerts, and performance benchmarks
- Participate in on-call duty and provide high-level support during escalated issues
- Implement and uphold network security measures, including firewalls, segmentation, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability management, patches, and incident responses
- Ensure compliance of network configurations with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Produce and maintain network diagrams, configurations, standards, and operational guidelines
- Define and enforce best practices for network configuration and change management
- Mentor IT staff as a technical leader
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional IT projects
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Oversee vendor interactions and management
