Requirements
Must:
- You should possess an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a field related to IT.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Managed Services (MSP) is essential.
- You must have 3 to 5 years of IT experience overall.
- Current certifications are required: Network+, A+, Security+, and Microsoft Certifications.
- It’s crucial to have knowledge and hands-on experience in providing technical support to users on Microsoft 365 and Google.
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks such as 800-171, 800-53, and CSF is important.
- You should have a solid understanding of the principles, methods, and techniques utilized in troubleshooting and support, particularly concerning servers, desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and network management software (including TCP/IP 4 routing/firewall/VLAN capabilities).
- Extensive experience and understanding of VMware and/or Hyper-V are necessary.
- Experience with P2V and V2V migrations is a plus.
- Familiarity with Ticketing and RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Kaseya, ITGlue, Datto) is advantageous.
- You should demonstrate considerable skills in designing and implementing secure networked computer systems, as well as storage and disaster recovery procedures.
- Extensive proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite of applications (such as Intune, SharePoint, Exchange, Defender) is required.
- A working knowledge of various cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google) is necessary.
- Attributes such as being positive, articulate, sociable, organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and possessing excellent time management skills are essential.
- You should have the motivation and commitment to reach professional goals through certifications and advanced training.
Responsibilities
- In this position, I will expect you to offer technical solutions and support for technical requests from our client partners, both in the service desk and on-site environments.
- You will need to troubleshoot and configure firewalls, switches, WAPs, VPNs, and other network hardware.
- Your duties will involve traveling to local customer sites to carry out scheduled network maintenance, address outstanding issues, and assist with project implementations and consulting as necessary.
- You will be responsible for managing and supporting on-premises technology, including Hyper-V, VMware, and Azure.
- Your role will include providing Microsoft 365 administration with domain synchronization and migrations from G-Suite, Exchange, or other providers.
- You will be tasked with implementing network software and hardware upgrades.
- Improving efficiencies by documenting and standardizing our support processes while capturing and developing best practices will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will assist in producing security, uptime, and backup reporting metrics for monthly client reports upon request.
- Creating and maintaining client system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within ITGlue will be required.
- Participation in the on-call rotation is also expected.
