Requirements

Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst position - Proficient in SQL and Power BI within a professional setting - Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Syspro, NetSuite, SAP) and their integration with other platforms - Familiarity with APIs and concepts related to system integration - Capable of managing competing priorities and effectively communicating across departments - Well-versed in documenting technical work clearly - Bachelors degree in MIS, Business, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area OR relevant education and experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for simplifying technical details - Self-motivated with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Operations leadership and teams to understand business requirements and identify operational challenges - Serve as the main support for analytics and reporting within the Operations department - Collect, validate, and manage operational data from various sources, including Salesforce, Syspro ERP, in-house applications, Excel files, and SQL databases - Generate one-time analyses and ad-hoc reports to aid operational decision-making, address customer needs, perform audits, and fulfill requests from leadership - Develop and sustain Power BI dashboards, including managing data models, relationships, measures, and refresh timelines - Write, optimize, and manage SQL queries for data extraction and transformation related to reporting, analysis, and monitoring processes - Create Excel-based tools and templates (utilizing Power Query, PivotTables, and formulas/macros as necessary) to facilitate operational workflows - Ensure data integrity through reconciliation, error verification, and continuous monitoring - Convert raw operational data into insightful analyses, identifying trends and providing recommendations for performance enhancement - Define and document key performance indicators (KPIs) and business rules to ensure consistent reporting across the organization - Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and root causes utilizing structured problem-solving and analytical techniques - Lead continuous improvement initiatives by refining processes, promoting standardization, and implementing operational best practices - Conduct workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders to chart current processes and design future improvements - Assist in the implementation of process changes by providing communication, training support, and tracking adoption - Act as a liaison between Operations and IT/Systems teams to facilitate enhancements, repairs, and new functionalities - Gather requirements, craft user stories/specifications, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements and new reporting tools - Monitor system usage and data flow across platforms, addressing reporting and data concerns and coordinating their resolution - Aid in the governance of operational data and reporting, managing access controls, version control, and documentation - Present discoveries and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise manner (using dashboards, executive summaries, slides, etc.) - Manage multiple priorities concurrently while ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality deliverables are maintained
