Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; bachelors degree preferred.
- At least five years of experience in a customer-facing IT support position.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation are highly desirable.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Entra ID, and Office 365.
- Familiar with iOS and Android mobile devices, including smart scanners, tablets, and phones; experience with SOTI MDM is a plus.
- Solid understanding of basic networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience using remote support tools and ticketing systems; familiarity with N-able and Service Now is beneficial.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and willing to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for end-users via phone, email, and in-person communication.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other IT related equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Offer critical support, backup, and disaster recovery services for essential manufacturing equipment PCs.
- Manage user accounts in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Office 365, and other enterprise applications.
- Document incidents, solutions, and work completed in the IT ticketing system.
- Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process for employees, including device setup and access management.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and oversee equipment lifecycle.
- Escalate issues as necessary per ITIL incident management protocols.
- Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, and process enhancements in partnership with other IT staff and operations teams.
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies, data security, and privacy standards.
