First Class Engineer

- I operate, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on technical equipment, including boilers, water chillers, pumps, air compressors, and generators to provide steam, electrical power, heat, and chilled water throughout the hospital. - I perform preventive maintenance and repairs on water/steam distribution systems and other boiler-associated systems. - I interpret technical information related to equipment operation and maintenance, maintaining a constant watch over dials, meters, and gauges to assure proper operation and detect malfunctioning equipment. - I record data in appropriate logs, operate boiler room EMS systems, and make quality improvement or cost containment recommendations, ensuring all suggestions go through approval and implementation stages. - I run tests on boiler and cooling tower water and adjust treatment dosage as needed. I maintain proper operation of the pneumatic tube system, working effectively within and between departments, and I participate in departmental projects while consistently displaying professionalism in dealings with customers, staff, and physicians.
