Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Typically requires over 7 years of relevant technical and professional experience
- Proficient hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, especially Databricks
- Skilled in data warehousing and pipeline development
- Experience in creating and managing scalable data ingestion frameworks and pipelines
- Familiarity with structured and unstructured data in both batch and real-time settings
- Strong SQL abilities with experience in applying business logic during data transformations
- Knowledgeable in Reporting & Analytics, Real-Time Analytics, Systems Integration, and Data Governance
- Proven expertise in data modeling and database design
- Experience with large-scale data platform implementations
Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive solutions for complex data across various systems for internal and external stakeholders
- Build data ingestion and integration pipelines from diverse sources into the data warehouse/lakehouse
- Establish and enact scalable ingestion and pipeline frameworks to support both batch and real-time processing
- Collaborate with databases, files, and unstructured data to identify, transfer, and validate necessary data for synchronization and incremental loads
- Utilize SQL and/or cloud tools such as Databricks (preferred) or Snowflake to cleanse, apply business rules, and standardize data
- Create conceptual and logical data models that reflect business reporting requirements
- Work in partnership with business and application teams to comprehend source system data flows and architect effective downstream solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices for code quality
- Determine role alignment based on candidate strengths and team objectives, focusing on either ingestion or pipeline tasks
