Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant field
- Over 4 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark in a cloud or enterprise environment
- Proficient in Python and SQL for data engineering and automation of monitoring/reporting tasks
- Deep understanding of database fundamentals, including SQL, table design, indexing, and troubleshooting (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with data process monitoring, alert automation, and dashboarding in Databricks
- Advanced knowledge of Databricks jobs, job monitoring, error handling, and performance metrics tools
- Proven ability in building, documenting, and supporting reliable production-grade data workflows
- Familiarity with Delta Lake and lakehouse architecture (preferred)
- Knowledge of Azure cloud environment security, job orchestration, and best practices for production support (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines utilizing Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake for cloud analytics workloads
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and processing jobs using Databricks-native tools and dashboards to ensure accurate and timely data delivery
- Analyze and resolve job failures, resource bottlenecks, and data quality concerns, while providing root-cause analysis
- Implement data security measures, encryption, and access policies within Databricks in line with best practices and healthcare compliance
- Collaborate with data governance, compliance, and IT security teams to enhance system security and regulatory alignment
- Document pipeline architecture, monitoring processes, and standard operating procedures for the data engineering team and stakeholders
- Work alongside business intelligence, analytics, and data operations teams to ensure consistent performance and high-quality data delivery
