Graphics Prepress Technician

- Execute electronic art separations to customer-supplied artwork in accordance with internal job tickets while following printer specifications for all print types and materials. - Produce electronic proofs and physical color proofs. - Transform approved proof files into final stepped files for plate output. - Review finished files and complete a quality assurance checklist. - Communicate with customers or colleagues regarding job specifications or specific requirements. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of production. - Utilize Macintosh workstations while working with our ERP, Graphics Systems, and having a sound knowledge of manufacturing operations. - Assist with external communications and file transfers. - Ensure timely and accurate completion of required documentation. - Engage directly with customers or graphic separators for clarification and feedback on specifications. - Contribute to research and development of new technology. - Conduct routine maintenance and oversee computers and equipment. - Adhere to established safety regulations and policies, alongside other applicable guidelines. - Follow the MCC code of ethics in all dealings. - Engage in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives. - Attend departmental meetings and participate in internal training sessions. - Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
