Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of overall Information Technology experience
- 3+ years of experience with SAST, DAST, and IDE plug-in environments, particularly using Burp Suite Enterprise for DAST
- Proficiency in Veracode for SAST assessments
- 3+ years of programming experience in Java, Python, .NET, or C#
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide security controls for applications and systems for at least 3 years
- Familiarity with development environments like Eclipse, JDeveloper, or Visual Studio, including pipeline integration
- Comprehensive understanding of application security principles and vulnerability assessment frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, CVSS, CWE, WASC, and SANS-25
- Knowledge of federal security and compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, and FedRAMP
- At least 3 years of experience in Linux-based environments, with the ability to troubleshoot applications and connectivity issues
- Capability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field
Responsibilities
- Conduct DAST scanning using Burp Suite Enterprise, ensuring proper configuration, execution, and interpretation of scan results
- Perform SAST assessments utilizing Veracode to identify code vulnerabilities and advise on remediation techniques
- Evaluate and prioritize vulnerabilities according to risk levels, referencing frameworks such as CVSS, CWE, OWASP Top 10, WASC, and SANS-25
- Work collaboratively with development, DevOps, and security teams to incorporate security measures into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Offer guidance on secure coding practices and assist developers in addressing vulnerabilities
- Aid in the implementation and upkeep of Integrated Development Environment (IDE) security plug-ins and secure development tools
- Resolve application and connectivity issues within Linux environments
- Contribute to the creation and execution of organization-wide application security measures
- Ensure compliance with federal security regulations including NIST 800-53, FIPS, and FedRAMP
- Keep abreast of new threats, vulnerabilities, and application security best practices
